In the Gospel we find two amazing truths: that we are actually more evil, fractured, messed-up and at war with our Creator than we even realize, but through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we can be loved and accepted beyond what we dare hope but being reconciled to our Creator.

The Scriptures teach that Jesus Christ fulfilled what God requires of us, that Jesus died the death that our rebellion earned, and that He rose again from the dead to break the power of death over us.   It is through faith in the historical work of Jesus alone that we have reconciliation, meaning, and security, because He grounds us in His love, forgives us of our sin, and frees us from seeking value and meaning from other people or things in order to seek our ultimate good in God Himself.
